Some 220 bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) are living in the Croatian part of the Adriatic Sea. After the extinction of the Mediterranean monk seal (Monachus monachus) and the common dolphin (Delphinus delphis), bottlenose dolphins are the only sea mammals still living in the Adriatic Sea. We present to you eight bottlenose dolphins that you may symbolically adopt. By adopting a bottlenose dolphin, you are supporting the protection of these animals in the Adriatic Sea. Choose your bottlenose dolphin and fill out the adoption form.
"Good morning"
is the first bottlenose dolphin identified, whom we met back in 2001 in the early morning hours near the island of Ugljan.
"Mr. Big"
is a bottlenose dolphin whose size distinguishes him from the others.

"Ypsilon"
we have been seeing her along with a baby bottlenose dolphin since 2001.

"Line"
is easily recognizable by the white horizontal line on his left back fin and the indent in the shape of a half-moon on the rear end of that fin.

"Sportsman"
often entertains us with high jumps out of the water.

"Spike"
has a back fin whose top is formed like a spike.

"Flash"
is a male bottlenose dolphin with a sharp line on the back fin.
"Arrow"
is a female bottlenose dolphin that likes to swim next to our boat.
We meet these bottlenose dolphins regularly in the sea around the islands of Ugljan, Pašman, Iž and Dugi otok. We have been meeting "Good Morning", "Mr. Big", "Ypsilon", "Line" and "Spike" since 2001, while we were introduced to "Sportsman", "Flash" and "Arrow" in 2003. We give the bottlenose dolphins names based on characteristics such as their looks, behavior or the circumstances of our meeting.
We will use the money collected through the adoption of bottlenose dolphins exclusively for research and protection of bottlenose dolphins within the project "Rescuing the last Adriatic bottlenose dolphins
